Learn to pray effectively using the Word of God
Ministry Training

Develop your ability to minister through prayer and laying on of hands, working with the Holy Spirit resulting in physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

Those with the calling to minister the Word of God can deliver 20 - minute exhortations, honing their skills in a supportive environment.

Share with the class prophetic utterances (words, dreams, visions or tongues with the interpretation) to strengthen, encourage, and comfort the body of Christ (1st Cor. 14:3).
Outreach training
Equip yourself for evangelism and prayer outreach, bringing the gospel to the lost sheep outside of the church. You will have an opportunity to join The School of Discipleship for hands-on training to win souls. Our outreach consists of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, ministering through prayer and laying hands on the sick for their recovery, and handing out tracts and gospels of John.
Founder and Teacher
Pastor Matt Romano was called by the Lord to establish The School of Discipleship, with the mission of training and equipping the body of Christ in both doctrine and practice. He has been walking with the Lord for over 30 years and is passionate about sharing Christ with the lost and teaching believers to walk closely and fervently with the Lord.
Throughout his ministry, Pastor Matt has served the body of Christ in various capacities, including life group leader, men’s group leader, ordained deacon, pastoral assistant, certified teacher in the School of Prayer, evangelism, author, and ordained pastor at Jesus the Word of Life Ministries. At this ministry, he spent five years pastoring and preaching the Word of God alongside the senior pastor.
In addition to his ministry work, Pastor Matt has worked in the building trades as a Steamfitter for the last 28 years. His career has taken him to oil refineries, pharmaceutical facilities, power plants, hospitals, schools, stadiums, and many other locations.
Pastor Matt and his wife, Amanda Romano, have been married since 2017.
